Phoenix: 
Hm, I'm assuming this has to do with my E-mail address. It was inspired by the videogame "Phoenix wright: Ace attorney" where the titular character solves murder mysteries and fights dramatic courtroom battles.  But, if I remind one of an actual phoenix, that’s pretty badass.

Persepolis:

lacuerva , you saw me flipping through Persepolis 2 during IB Spanish, and that’s when I got you hooked :D. It was for my Modern Literature class. I enjoyed reading Marjane Satrapi's story of growing up, and I want to check out more of her work. 

Kuwait:

The country where I was born, and where I lived up until I was 10. Life was pretty easy for me. Both my parents were working and making money, so we could enjoy ourselves. I also had some good friends there, we would go the beach, to malls, arcades.. fun times. Though I feel I would see the country in a different light If I were to go back as an adult. There were/are definitely social problems that I didn’t pick up as a kid that I probably would now.

WSU:

Let me just say my first year experience in Pullman was less than stellar.  I didn’t get along with my roommate that well, and I really didn’t connect with anyone in my hall. So I spent a lot of time being reclusive in my room. I hung out with Andre a lot (Big mistake), mainly because he was a familiar face. But as time went on, I realized he was taking advantage of my quiet nature, and he saw me more as a follower than a friend. He also tried to convince me that conforming to prep/frat culture was the only way to enjoy WSU. Once I stopped seeing him and stopped listening to his Bullshit, life in WSU became exponentially better. Now I am in a good hall, and I like the people in it.

House:

Yes, I use Dr. Houses’s smug face for a lot of my LJ user pics. He’s a jerk, but he’s a lovable jerk. And he’s not normal. As a fellow introvert, I could relate to his reclusiveness.

Man, it's been a while since I've been on LJ(I mostly blame facebook, and schoolwork too ><).

But now school is over until August so I can just chill at home in Issaquah.. though I kinda go crazy now from lounging around the house, so I have begun job searching.. I've finished a job application for PCC markets. Other places I plan to apply to are Barnes and Noble, Target, Papa Murphy's, and maybe QFC(I'm only coming back to subway as a last resort..urgh).

So what else is new? A friend showed me one of the Lupin movies (it was  Castle of Cagliostro) and now I've become interested in hunting down the other films too (because I liked castle of cagliostro and according to my friend it was one of the more lackluster Lupin films).

And oh yes, Star Trek was epic.Zachary Quinto was the best part, and the chemistry between him and Kirk was hilarious( and I don't mean the slash writer chemistry,lol)

Wow,it's been a while,hasn't it?

Looking back at this year, I don't know what to make of it. There was the stress of college(classwork and putting up with Andre),and uncertainty about the future(I try to push this out of my mind, but I feel like time is running out for me, and that my uncertainty is causing me to waste more time),.
All of it wore me down at times,but when I came back home to friends and family, I felt at peace. Free of Andre,and temporarily free of insanely hard classes, I've been relaxing now, trying to push back the worries of transferring schools and sticking to a major(for now,anyways).

I hopefully will find my way in 2009.

I am bringing my wii along with me (for when I'm bored), and a ton of nonperishable food for my room( overpriced campus store= do not want). 

the price of textbooks this year makes me want to tear my hair out D: I'll be putting the paychecks I earned to good use..


then I plan to look into different clubs on campus.. (right now I'm really interested in a martial arts group, it would give me something productive to do on campus).

Well, this was a great summer, and it went by so quickly. You all will be missed :(
